Summary: The Project Tracking System provides an automated monitoring and evaluation of financial requests by tracking planned, actual, and modified expenditures to Information Systems Accounts (IS) accounts as they occur. The PTS provides a standardized, automated method of budget management across a diverse group of organizations and accounting activities. It performs functions associated with the budget process, i.e. the planning, development, and execution of the MITS Services budget.
Details: Project Tracking System provides FW Employees and Management a way to track hours spent on each project at the task level. This has been achieved by allowing managers to define and create tasks for each project, budget hours for each task and specify start and end dates for each task. Employees working on a project are able to log the time spent on various tasks by date using the application interface. For a given period, managers can generate reports that provide a snapshot of the project progress in terms of Actual Hours spent vs. Budgeted Hours, Projected Dates vs. Actual Dates, and Hours spent by each employee on a project/task etc. Employees are able to generate a time-sheet for any given period of time to submit to management. Project Tracking System is proving to be the cost saving and effective on-line project management solution for the client. Offshore model enabled saving as much as 65% over previously employed domestic outsourcing companies for similar job.
