Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust security measures across systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in security concepts, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to safeguard valuable information assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute threat modeling strategies for new systems, identifying potential risks and outlining mitigation plans.
  • Implement security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) across projects, ensuring systems are designed with security best practices from the ground up.
  • Lead and participate in incident response initiatives, including detection, investigation, and remediation efforts when security breaches occur.
  • Conduct security vulnerability assessments, prioritize risks, and coordinate remediation activities to maintain a resilient security posture.
  • Perform secure code reviews to identify and resolve significant security issues, applying the appropriate tools and methodologies for comprehensive analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures seamlessly within the software development lifecycle.
  • Apply strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to address complex security challenges and clearly communicate risks and recommendations.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of evolving security trends and emerging threats to continuously improve security architecture and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in threat modeling, secure code review, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with leading security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001, and the ability to implement these standards across various systems.
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, with an aptitude for problem-solving and the capacity to work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for security and a drive to continually enhance personal expertise in the field.
