Job Title: Senior PHP / Laravel Developer – Engineering Team

Job Summary

CHROMEIS is seeking a Senior PHP / Laravel Developer to join our Engineering Team. This role focuses on building scalable applications, APIs, and custom systems that support our core services: web hosting, VPS, reseller hosting, app development, SEO, and digital marketing.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Laravel developer with strong backend engineering skills, a deep understanding of system architecture, and the ability to design solutions that are secure, optimized, and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities

Core Development & Architecture

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise-level applications using PHP (Laravel framework).
• Develop and manage RESTful APIs for hosting panels, billing systems, and client dashboards.
• Architect systems that are secure, scalable, and optimized for high performance.
• Ensure modular, reusable, and well-documented code that meets industry standards.

Systems Integration

• Integrate applications with payment gateways, CRMs, hosting environments (cPanel, WHM, VPS APIs).
• Work with DevOps to deploy and maintain applications in cloud/VPS hosting environments.
• Support integrations between Chromeis products and third-party SaaS platforms.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

• Debug, test, and resolve complex backend issues.
• Provide Level 3 engineering support for escalated technical problems.
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and database optimization.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, product, QA).
• Mentor junior developers and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Participate in technical discussions to shape product architecture and engineering standards.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Research and propose new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve engineering efficiency.
• Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization strategies.
• Drive initiatives for system reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Experience

• 4–6 years of proven backend development experience in PHP (Laravel framework).
• Hands-on experience with scalable systems, APIs, and cloud/VPS hosting integrations.
• Strong database design and optimization skills (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines) is highly desirable.

Skills

• Strong command of PHP 8, Laravel 9/10, REST APIs, MySQL, and OOP principles.
• Familiarity with Vue.js / React / Angular for front-end integration.
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub, testing frameworks, and agile development practices.
• Knowledge of server security, caching strategies, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in cloud hosting environments (AWS, DigitalOcean, VPS providers).
