Overview:

The SAP FICO Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, customizing, and supporting SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. The role focuses on optimizing financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and aligning system functionalities with business requirements across multiple modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate financial and controlling needs into effective SAP FICO solutions.
  • Configure and implement core FI processes such as general ledger and accounts payable/receivable, as well as CO functionalities to support budgeting, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.
  • Customize SAP FICO settings to meet specific organizational needs, creating tailored reports and workflows that enhance financial visibility and decision-making.
  • Ensure seamless integration between SAP FICO and other modules (e.g., Materials Management or Sales & Distribution) to support end-to-end business processes.
  • Develop and generate various financial and management reports, ensuring they are accurate, compliant, and useful for stakeholders.
  • Perform system testing and process validations, identifying and resolving functional and integration issues.
  • Provide training and user support to promote effective system use and understanding across the organization.
  • Analyze system performance and propose improvements that enhance overall process efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with SAP FICO modules, including expertise in Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO).
  • Strong understanding of cross-module integration and the ability to customize SAP FICO to accommodate unique business processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a capacity for logical reasoning.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and project details clearly.
  • A proactive mindset, capable of managing multiple assignments and delivering projects on time while maintaining high quality.
